Low Carbs
Alcoholic beverages with low carbs, yeah!
Many of us enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine at the end of the day or while out with friends, but when we are concerned about if all our food and drinks have low carbs, it can be difficult to gauge the carb value. Fortunately, you do not have to give up all of your old life choices when being diligent about low carbs--you just have to know what are the beverages that do have low carbs!
Here's a list of some of the most common alcoholic drinks that do have low carbs:
With the exception of the beer and wine all of these amounts are 1 ounce, or a shot.
- Bourbon- 0 grams
- Brandy- 0 grams
- Gin- 0 grams
- Rum-0 grams
- Tequila- 0 grams
- Dry Vermouth- 1.4 grams
- Sweet Vermouth- 4.5 grams

I am sure that this information will make a lot of dieters happy as they can still enjoy a relaxing drink when they want, the only thing you have to careful of is what you mix it with. Since many mixed drinks add juice and soda and they contain sugar you can quickly add carbs when doing this. So, be careful and use diet whenever possible.
There is less reason everyday to get down in the dumps while on a low carb diet. There are many satisfying alternatives as well as many old favorites that were low in carbs all along. The trick to having dieting success is to find many different foods (and drinks) that are close at hand and allow you to keep within the guidelines of your chosen diet.
