Is A Low Carb For You?
Start a Low Carb Diet today
Okay, you bit the bullet and started a low carb diet. For better or worse. Slimmer or not. But hopefully slimmer. The only glitch you see in the plan is the occasional chocolate fix you need. After all, you're a chocoholic. You're not a carbaholic, but when it comes to chocolate, you have a hard time.
- Go low carb, people.
- Don't you wish to lose weight?
- This is the way to do so.
Low Carb Chocolate
When it comes to low carb chocolate, there's good and bad. Some of the best is Russell Stover's (and no, they aren't paying us to say that). They have a "Net Carb" line with 0-2 net grams of carbs per serving. With so few carbs, how can it taste so good? They're made with sugar alcohols. But don't let that scare you if you're on a low carb diet. Sugar alcohols come from plant sources like fruit and berries. They're frequently used as a sugar substitute because they have fewer calories, and more importantly, they are converted to glucose slowly, so your blood sugar won't surge like it would with regular table sugar.
Now, during the first two weeks of your new diet when you're only allowed 20 grams of carbs a day, you still have to weigh the options of eating something with one or two grams of carbs that won't fill you up. During the first two weeks of your this plan if you really need a chocolate fix, stick with low carb meal replacement shakes or low carb meal replacement bars. Once you're in the next phase of your low carb diet, allow yourself a low carb chocolate or two now and then to get your fix.
Get started right now! Good times are ahead for all!
