Giving Chocolates as Gifts
For years, a box of chocolates was the way a guy could win a girl's heart. And on Valentine's Day, a heart-shaped box of chocolates is a traditional gift. But these days, you can give anyone chocolates as a gift for any reason. And they don't have to be a traditional box of chocolates. There are such gifts as chocolate roses, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate spa products, chocolate cigars....the list goes on and on!

Many fine chocolate makers have kicked up the traditional box of chocolates by making the box an attractive presentation. For instance, Godiva offers gift towers. These are different sized boxes of chocolates, and the boxes are made of different colors of foil. The biggest box is on the bottom one, with a smaller one on top of that, and an even smaller one on top of that. They are then tied together with a pretty bow. That is an impressive and elegant gift, but be prepared for it to set you back a few bucks. There are other elegant and impressive boxes of chocolates out there as well. Many chocolates come in elegant wooden boxes that resemble jewelry boxes, in fact. Of course, a chocolate gift basket can satisfy a multitude of cravings. You can combine chocolates and coffees or anything else you deem appropriate for the gift recipient. If the chocolate lover in your life is counting calories (or fat, or carbs...whatever) a chocolate spa gift or chocolate flavored coffee. Your options are endless.

Chocolate Gift Giving Occasions
These days, people gift the gift of chocolate for lots of occasions, like:

Birthdays
Holidays
Anniversaries
Wedding gifts
Corporate gifts
In sympathy (You read that right. Chocolate activates serotonin in your brain, which is a feel good chemical. We're not saying chocolate can get rid of grief, but it can help make someone feel a little better, if only for a while.)

You can also give yourself a gift of chocolate. Why not? A simple Godiva chocolate bar is a treat that you can savor all week and it doesn't even cost that much!
