Beyond Basic Chocolates

When you think of chocolate, the first thing that probably comes to mind is candy or plain old chocolate bars. Then you might think of dessert. Those are the basics of chocolate. But The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, PA has incorporated chocolate into everything they do. You can enjoy a chocolate martini, a Chocolate Stout or Chocolate Seared Divers Scallops at one of their restaurants. Sounds crazy, right? Just remember--chocolate isn't sweet until sugar is added. Then it's the sweet, decadent treat we all know and love. (They have that too--after all, it is Hershey, PA we're talking about.)

The next must-see (or rather, must experience) while you're there is The Spa at The Hotel Hershey. You can enjoy a Hershey Kiss melting in your mouth as you melt like a marshmallow in the Whipped Cocoa Bath or indulge in Chocolate Hydrotherapy. You can also enjoy chocolate spa treatments like these:

Chocolate Fondue Wrap - First, your body is "brushed down." Next, you let your body relax when warmed moor mud and essence of cocoa is slathered on you. (This is the "fondue.") Then you're wrapped in a warm blankie, and when it's all done, you rinse off in a Vichy Shower.
Cocoa Bean Polish - Cocoa bean husks and walnut shells are combined to make an exfoliating scrub. Afterwards, a coca body lotion is applied for supreme softness.
Chocolate Sugar Scrub - This body scrub is meant to soften your skin, not to be eaten. (Although you might want to!)
Cocoa Massage - A Swedish massage that uses Hershey's signature chocolate-scented massage oil.
